My name is Katharine and I am a multi-hyphenate story teller. Whether it be written, a set prop for a show or through a puppet everything I do has meaning and purpose.
I went to school for Early Childhood Education and was certified in Florida and Colorado from 2006-2012. I spent 15 years working in day cares and in families homes caring and educating children between the ages of 6 weeks to 3 years old. While I chose to not have my own children, the first child I held I knew it was what I was meant to do.
Many years later I went back to school at the Art Institute of Colorado for Interior Design where I got my BA in 2017. While I never worked in the field all the things I learned there got me to where I am now.
I am currently in a Graduate Certificate Program at CSU for Adult Education and Art Management.
I have surrounded myself with diverse individuals of all ages who speak several languages, have sensory sensitivities, speak openly about their gender and sexual orientation and those who have been diagnosed with everything from ADHD to Xenophobia. I am an advocate of ALL Human Rights, and I identify as she/they and a maker. I am the creator of Best of Both Design, a member of the Rocky Mountain Puppetry Guild, a Maker’s Space Host and a tutor for the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design.
